PUPILS at Threshfield Primary School marked the end of term with a performance based on characters from Kenneth Grahame’s children’s classic ‘The Wind in the Willows.’

Arabella Baker, Harry Barrett, Heidi Longthorne and Freddie Tattersall of Year 6 performed the tale of about a rat, mole, badger and toad in the school’s 17th century hall.

And staff and pupils were also celebrating a recent Ofsted report which classified the school as ‘good.’

Headteacher Richard Cook said: “There was nothing quite like seeing our amazing pupils in full costume, excitedly waiting to perform after weeks of rehearsals. We are always incredibly proud of our pupils’ achievements and this year’s play, with two acts, and a cast of Year 5s and 6s was yet another example of Threshfield doing what it does best - allowing our children to flourish.

“The last week of term in any school is action packed, with leavers’ plays and assemblies, but it’s usually only the pupils receiving reports in the run up to the summer holidays. So we were delighted that school received a report. It confirmed that we are a solidly good school.”
