ORGANISERS have thanked all the revellers who helped to make this year's 49th Hellifield Gala a success as the sun continued to shine for the entire weekend.
As is now a tradition, the event started on the Friday evening before gala day, with a 'Hellifield's Got Talent' show in the marquee.
And on Gala Saturday, this year's queen Faith Forster and her attendants, Devania Ford, Daisy Barrick, Henry Atkinson and Joe Allan, led the procession around the gala field.
The judges for the fancy dress categories were Bob and Carol Moore. Entertainment on the field included the Craven gymnastics display, village sports and races, plus the junior and senior fell races. As always, there were numerous stalls, plus birds of prey, reptiles and classic cars.
Entertainment in the marquee included children's entertainer Circus Jim, local singers Jane and Ian, plus refreshments provided by members of the Women's Institute. In the evening there was a disco and live music from The Spacebats.
