CROSS Hills band The Marble Arches are to play all the songs from their debut EP this month in Leeds.

The band, fronted by Harry Wainwright Little, released Under The Marble Arches on June 25 after a successful string of gigs in London. BBC Introducing in York and North Yorkshire supported the EP by playing tracks in the run-up to its release.

Under The Marble Arches is available from major streaming platforms including Spotify and iTunes, and can be bought from Bandcamp.

The gig will be the Verve Bar on August 31. Admission is free.

Earlier this year, singer-songwriter Harry Wainwright Little and the band played the world-famous Alleycat in Denmark Street, former haunt of the The Rolling Stones, The Kinks and Black Sabbath.

Marble Arches began in 2014 as a way to channel songs written by Harry.

He said: “I’ve been playing music for about eight years, picking up the guitar at 12, and I have been playing in bands and recording music since I was 16.

“Having taken time to write and record material I felt was of a high standard, I began sharing the music under the band name The Marble Arches.”
