EMPLOYEES at Skipton Building Society have teamed up with firefighters in the town to invite the public to a charity car wash.

Society staff and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue members will be cleaning cars at Skipton Fire Station on September 14 to raise cash for the Alzheimer’s Society. They will be asking for minimum donations of £5 between 1am and 3pm at the event, which is part of the building society’s drive to raise £50,000 for Alzheimer’s.

The society’s Chris Bull said: “It is great to be involved in such an inspiring event and to be able to come together with such an influential part of our community is amazing. The team at Skipton Fire Station have been so supportive and jumped at the chance to help. This is something we are both incredibly passionate about and are working towards being able to support the charities the best we can.”
