AN impressive £760 was raised at Malham Show for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.

Proceeds from an auction of goods at the end of the event are always donated to charity, and this year the

Malhamdale Agricultural and Horticultural Society, organisers of the event, chose to support Manorlands.

Phil Hargreaves, show chairman, said: “There are several local people who have been cared for by Manorlands nurses recently and we know how the hospice helps local families at what is usually a very difficult time.”

The auction was carried out by Sam Bradley of Craven Cattle Marts (CCM).

Molly Ralphson, Manorlands community fundraiser, said “We are so very grateful for everyone involved in Malham Show for thinking of the hospice and raising such a fantastic amount. To everyone involved, from those who donated their produce, to those who bought the goods and those who organised the auction, thank you very much.”
