AN estate agent from the Barnoldswick branch of Petty’s joined colleagues and friends to take on the Great North Run in aid of Pendleside Hospice.
Meghan Wilson joined the firm’s residential director Ian Bythell and friends Scott Hornby, Jo Applegate and Stuart Applegate to run just over 13 miles in what is the biggest half-marathon in Britain. Meghan said “It was such a fantastic atmosphere for the whole race. Whenever any of us felt a bit down and tired the crowed really kept us going, cheering, throwing water to cool us down and kids high fiving you as you ran past.”
The Great North Run was just one of a list of events Petty’s enmployees have completed over the past few months as part of their ‘corporate challenge’ for Pendleside Hospice. Ian and Meghan have also completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks and the Burnley 10k run.
