SMILES and cheery waves from passers-by greeted staff, family and friends of residents of a Skipton nursing home when they walked around the town to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s.
The group, pictured above, from Craven Nursing Home, on Keighley Road, took part in a ‘Memory Walk’ around Skipton in warm September sunshine.
Manager Christine Smith said: “As a care home that supports people living with dementia we feel passionate about supporting the charity in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
“Already this year we have raised £101 from our Alzheimer’s Cupcake morning in June - and this time we have been pledged more than £500!” The home also holds regular coffee mornings to support Macmillan Cancer Care.
