THE 13th annual rounders tournament in memory of Jo Fletcher and Trevor Driver saw last year’s winners, Skipton Sloggers, retaining their title.

Nine teams - Skipton Sloggers, Settle, Bentham, Cowling, Springboks, Silsden, Embsay, Bradley and a joint team , Threshfield and Kettlewell, battled it out throughout the day in the wind and rain at Sandylands sports centre.

After a hard contest, the final was between Skipton Sloggers and Settle, with the Sloggers coming out on top.

The organisers would like to thank their sponsors, The Castle Inn Skipton and everyone involved who helped to raise £340 which will go to Manorlands Hospice and The Paediatric ward at Airedale Hospital.

The contest is held in memory of Jo Fletcher, a rounders player who died suddenly in 2005, and Trevor Driver, who sponsored Springboks, through his company JB Springs.
