A FUNDRAISING tea is being held for charity in Langcliffe,
Janet Taylor and Paul Caffrey decided that SCOPE, the charity that works for disability equality, is a cause that they want to support.
“I knew when I heard about the work Scope does with people who are under pressure and those who are lonely because of a disability," said Janet. "The charity does lots of other things that make life more equal for those with disabilities, but it was the practical help it can provide to those with mental health issues that made me want to support SCOPE.”
On Sunday Janet and a team of friends are baking and serving Sunday Teas in Langcliffe, starting at 2pm and ending at 4.30 there will be cakes and jam for sale.
In March next year the couple are running in the London Landmarks half marathon to raise money. “We hope that people will sponsor us, so that we can raise enough money to make a difference," said Janet.
