BEER enthusiasts are in for a treat this weekend as the very best of Yorkshire breweries take on their counterparts from Scotland at the tenth annual Great Craven Beer Festival in Appletreewick.
Held at the Craven Arms and Cruck Barn, the festival will kick off today (Thursday) and run tomorrow and Saturday.
Landlord, David Aynesworth has selected the Yorkshire beers, while bar manager, Dave Eggleton, has selected the Scottish beers, which originate from all over Scotland, including from the Western and Northern Isles.
David, who said there would be about 25 beers on offer, promised the festival would be one of the most interesting to date.
People will be asked to vote for their favourite beer to come up with the best beer of the festival. Entry is free and refreshments will be available.
