ERMYSTED'S Grammar School in Skipton has named its team of senior prefects, including its head boy, following a rigorous selection process.
The 12 strong team, of head boy, Jonathan Rampley-Sturgeon; his three deputies, Zeeshan Hussain, Louis Horsfield and Ben Jackson, and eight house captains, saw off competition from 49 other applicants to secure the prestigious positions.
The boys had to go through a pupil and staff ballot, give presentations to staff and the outgoing prefects, and face a tough interview.
Judith Lindsley, assistant head of sixth form, said: "They are a great team and I have no doubt that they will exceed our expectations."
House captains are: Luca Marchini, Bradley Gardner, Tom Barrett, Max Walker, Angus McMeekin, Jack Steane, Balint Sido and Nick Brewer.
