DANCERS from Skipton based Fire House Dance studio returned from a regional qualifying competition in County Durham with a clutch of medals.

Many members of the school, which is run by former twice national dance champion, Howard Bullock, have progressed to the nationwide leg of the International Dance Teachers Association Medalist of the Year competition due to be held next Easter at the Blackpool Winter Gardens.

Among those to triumph at the regionals were Carolyn Wong, from Eastby, a teacher at South Craven School, and her dance partner, Amanda Allen, from Skipton, executive deputy headteacher at Kirkby-in-Malhamdale Primary School.The talented duo won the over 60 years Latin American competition.
