A GROUP of residents and organisations in Wibsey are appealing for volunteers to get involved in bringing some festive cheer to the village.
Wibsey Events Group members are busy fundraising for a Christmas Tree, installing lights and arranging a switch on event to take place early in December with carols, music and local school choirs, and would welcome more volunteers to help make sure it can all go ahead as planned.
Chair of the group Edna Smith said: “We’re making a good start on putting together this year’s switch on event but it would be great to have a bit more help from other local people who want to make sure Wibsey gets as good a tree and event as we had last year.”
