STEAM and model making enthusiasts, as well as supporters of Burnsall VA Primary School will be making their way to Appletreewick next week for a free steam toy and model show.

The show, to be held in the Cruck Barn, at the Craven Arms pub, will be run by children from Burnsall School, who came up with the idea after being inspired by their own model making and collecting.

Those going along to the event will be treated by the sight of miniature working engines powered by steam, hot air or electric. They will be in working operation, next to static models made out of Lego and from Meccano.

Exhibitors will include steam engine experts who have previously shown their models at the Bancroft Steam Mill, Barnoldswick, and at Leeds Industrial Museum at Armley Mills.

Children and adults from the area will also be bringing along their own models to put on show.

The show will take place on Tuesday, October 30, from 12 midday to 4pm. Free entrance, but with donations to Burnsall Primary School.
