HEALTHY minded children at Sutton-in-Craven CE Primary School have been tasting the results of their hard work over the summer months in the school garden.
Children in years one and two - five to seven years olds - in the school’s Willow Class, have spent the summer tending to their vegetable crops in the school garden, learning how things grow, and making sure they are well cared for, watered and fed.
And, they have now harvested the vegetables, including potatoes and beans, and made them into a soup.
A school spokesman said: “The children picked the crops, chopped and diced them to make a delicious potato and bean soup - all the children tried the soup and lots said it was yummy.”
