THE Coniston Hotel Country Estate and Spa near Skipton has just added a third holiday cottage to its portfolio.
Fogga, an 18th century cottage which is near the hotel, opened last week after joining The Thack and Lowlands, the other self-catering cottages on the estate. After the acquisition of the estate by the Bannister family in 1969, the cottage was sold off to raise cash to build the hotel’s first 40 bedrooms. It was reacquired at the beginning of the year,
Director Nick Bannister said: “We have seen an unprecedented increase in demand for long-stay accommodation and, in response to this, we began an expansion programme.”
