CHILDREN at Brougham Street Nursery School in Skipton have been busy collecting items for the town’s foodbank.
Throughout October, children and their families were asked to bring in packets of food, jars and also toiletries and to put them in an autumnal display in the entrance hall at the children;s centre, in Brougham Street.
Michael Pettavel, headteacher said how proud he was of the Children’s efforts and enthusiasm. He added “The nursery has enjoyed collecting during October to support families in need in our community”.
Phil Sage from the food bank thanked the children for their thoughtfulness. Donations can be made to the food bank throughout the year at Skipton Children’s Centre reception.
