A SKIPTON landlady was joined by members of her bar staff and a regular customer to keep off the drink for a whole month as part of cancer charity Macmillan’s Go Sober for October.
Suzanne Watson, landlady of The Two Sisters Bar and Kitchen, Mill Bridge, together with bar staff, Jenny Hoggart, Julie Newall and Alice Shearer, and customer, Caroline Hill, raised an amazing £1,000 for the c harity.
Owner, and landlady, Suzanne, said they had placed a bottle on the bar, and customers had been very generous with their donations.
“We nearly reached £1,000 and one of our friends, Andrew Jeffrey, of Dobsons Gaskets, Keighley, won the quiz and donated his winnings, and my husband, John Watson, made up the last £44 to make it a thousand pounds,” she said.
“Our customers have been really generous and supportive, I can;t thank them all enough.”
