PUPILS of Water Street School, in Skipton, have been researching solders from World War One either taken from the Craven register and the war memorial or a member of their own family and adding their name to a rock with a painting of a poppy.
The rocks have been on display at the school and then hidden around Skipton for people to find.
History co-ordinator Kathryn Bownass said: "The pupils have been involved in researching information about local men who become soldiers. They used local census material and information from the WW1 Craven Register and also the local War Memorial. We have even had local people interested in finding rocks with relatives' names on. It's been amazing."
Anyone finding a rock is asked to search #WaterStreetRemembers on social media and upload a photograph of it.
