FORMER boxer, Michael Tyson will talk about his experiences of competing in the local amateur boxing scene at the 'Sporting Memories' event to be held at Dyneley House Surgery, Skipton, tomorrow (Thursday).

‘Sporting Memories’ uses sport as a way of getting people together, particularly those who might be living on their own to re-live great sporting moments – either those that people have watched or taken part in.

Antony Radley, practice Manager said: “We are delighted that Michael has agreed to take part in Sporting Memories and share his experiences of competing in the local boxing scene. Boxing has a huge pay to view audience and we know there are members of our community who might be living on their own and who have some great memories of boxing and enjoy sharing their experiences of watching or taking part in sport. We will have a great afternoon. Everyone is welcome."

Sporting Memories, which will take place from 2pm to 3.30pm on Thursday (November 15) is only a small part of the programme of activities available at the surgery as part of this week's Self Care Week.
