TELEVISION presenter Kate Humble was in Barnoldswick for a tour of the ESSE Engineering factory in Long Ing.
The former presenter of Springwatch and Countryfile, who specialises in wildlife and science programmes, toured the factory, which makes cookers and stoves, chatted with people in the cafe and also signed copies of her new book, Thinking on My Feet.
The book tells the story of her walks over a year and how walking can help solve problems, lift moods and give rise to new opportunities.
She actually sold out of books as a party of walkers and members of a geographical society turned up at the canalside cafe.
Kate has ESSE cookers at her home in Wales and uses them for her Humble by Nature cooking demonstrations.
Mark Blewitt, ESSE sales director, said: “It’s a privilege to work alongside Kate; we share a very similar philosophy regarding food, its provenance and sustainable living."
Humble by Nature will be hosting further cooking demonstrations in partnership with ESSE from spring next year.
