SIR - Following on from last week’s disappointing letter (Thieves lacking in basic understanding, Craven Herald, November 15) I would now like to report on an act of huge support for the 2018 Poppy Appeal.
Due to the generosity of the staff at Walker Foster (Solicitors) the free wills project has raised £8,343 to date. This wonderful gesture, in their centenary year of business in this area, has given a tremendous boost to this year’s appeal and I would like to record my sincere thanks to the staff at all four of the firm’s offices, particularly Liz and Bridget without whose enthusiasm and assistance this would not have been possible and also everyone who took advantage of this offer and have raised so much money for this very worthy cause.
