A MAN has needed hospital treatment after sustaining facial injuries in an assault near a Skipton pub.

The 29-year-old was assaulted at the side of The Fleece pub, next to Skipton Bus Station, at around 3.15am on Sunday, November 18.

He was taken to Airedale General Hospital for treatment and was released later that morning.

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for help from the public to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

A spokesman said: "In particular we are appealing for any members of the public who may have witnessed this incident to come forward."

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote crime reference number 12180215495.
