A CHEESE and wine evening held at The Courtyard Dairy cheese shop raised £850 for Settle's swimming pool.
Andy Swinscoe, owner of the cheese shop at Austwick, near Settle, said it had been a 'roaring success'.
“The evening we put on in conjunction with Buon Vino has raised £850 towards helping Settle swimming pool continue to be a vital facility in the area,” he said.
Wine specialists Buon Vino and award-winning The Courtyard Dairy donated all the wine and cheese for the evening, and guided the attendees through a tutored tasting which matched wine with various cheeses, as well as showcasing some of the two shops’ unique traditional farm-made
produce.
Settle Area Swimming Pool is run by a charity for the community.
