A CARE group is offering free festive dinners to elderly people facing Christmas Day alone.
A traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings will be served-up at Czajka Care Group's Currergate Nursing Home in Steeton and Beanlands, Cross Hills.
A range of options is available for those with special dietary requirements.
Konrad Czajka, the group's managing director, said: "We know from our experience that lots of elderly people in the local area spend Christmas alone every year and many often don’t talk to anyone, which is heartbreaking.
"We’ve decided to try to make a difference this year and are delighted to be opening our doors at Currergate and Beanlands."
