POSTS in Craven and Keighley are among those up for grabs.

Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust will begin the election process this month. Three public events are planned where anyone interested can learn more about the role and the work of the trust.

The first takes place at Central Hall, in Alice Street, Keighley, on Thursday, January 17, at 5.30pm. It will be followed by a session at the Dyneley Barn, Newmarket Street, Skipton, on January 24, also at 5.30pm, and at New Mill, Victoria Road, Saltaire, on February 1, 10am.

Paul Hogg, the trust’s director of corporate affairs, said governors played a vital role. “The council of governors helps us to make our services better by providing us with the views of people from our local communities,” he said. “This feedback helps us identify where we might improve services so that they meet the needs of local people.”

Nomination forms will be available to complete at bdct.nhs.uk/about-us/our-council-of-governors/become-a-gov ernor, from January 16 until February 13.
