STAFF and students at West Craven High School made contributions to three charities in the run up to Christmas.
On Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day, festively attired staff and students brought in donations of food and toiletries to be shared in the local community by the West Craven Food Bank and the community kitchen run by Burnley FC in the Community.
West Craven High School Principal, Anne Bonney, said: “Throughout December, staff and students have been bringing in items to donate to our local food bank and the community kitchen run by Burnley FC in the Community.
“We thought it tied in nicely to hand over these donations on Christmas Jumper Day, when we were also fundraising for Save the Children UK. I would like to thank all staff, students and their families for their contributions to these three fundraising initiatives, and for helping to make a difference to the lives of people in our local community and further afield.”
