RAIL enthusiasts came up with a festive season boost for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance by holding a raffle at their Christmas lunch.
Members of the Friends of Settle to Carlisle Line raised £300 for the charity, which needs to find £12,000 per day to keep its two helicopters ready for life-saving action.
The Air Ambulance's Richard Handscombe is pictured at Settle railway station receiving a cheque from Rachel Pearson, left, and Ruth Evans, right, watched by members of the Friends group.
