SILSDEN Town Council has returned 'home'.
Members had decamped to a back room at the local Co-op following the £300,000 refurbishment five years ago of its traditional base, the town hall.
As part of the revamp of the Kirkgate building, the former council chamber was transformed into a new venue for the town's library.
But now councillors are back in the town hall, which has been a venue for local government meetings since 1895 when the old Urban District Council was formed.
The council is currently in the process of filling a vacancy, which will take the body back to its full complement of 12.
