POLICE have arrested a man following a spate of vehicle break-ins in Skipton.
The arrest was made in the early hours of January 10.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said they believed the man had been interfering with vehicles in the Middletown area of Skipton.
"A member of the public contacted police at 3am on Thursday, January 10 reporting a sighting of a man trying car door handles.
"A 43-year-old man from Skipton was arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle.
"He has since been released under investigation as enquiries continue."
Police said at the time of his arrest he was found in possession of a pair of headphones which officers think are stolen.
