FIREFIGHTERS from Skipton, Grassington and Threshfield have come together to hold a Dementia Friends session to gain a better understanding of the condition.
The session was led by dementia champion Natalie Johnson who volunteers to speak to groups to help them become dementia friendly.
"Becoming a Dementia Friend gives you a better understanding of a person living with dementia and raises awareness in the community. It is another step in the right directionf or Craven to become dementia friendly," she explained.
Ms Johnson was asked by Skipton Fire Station to go along and deliver a session. She is also going back soon to address the cadets.
