TRAFFIC lights have been put in place in Newmarket Street, Skipton, as part of the on-going gas distribution work in the town.
Northern Gas Networks have been upgrading the pipes in Belmont Street and Swadford Street.
This week a three-way traffic lights system was placed in Newmarket Street with work due to commence today (Wednesday).
A spokesman for North Gas Networks said: Today, engineers will start work on a separate job to connect a property on Newmarket Street to the gas network.
"In order to carry out this work, it will be necessary to dig in the carriageway. Temporary three-way traffic lights will be installed to ensure the safety of our engineers, motorists and members of the public.
"Both projects are expected to be completed by February 15."
