CANCER Support Yorkshire in Skipton is working in partnership with the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Cancer Alliance to meet with patients and family members to ask what ‘personalised support’ could look like for individual patients in Airedale, following cancer diagnosis and treatment.

The alliance says it is committed to ensuring patients, carers and others affected by cancer are involved in developing what care, treatment and support looks like in their community.

And, the charity will be holding a meeting for people at its centre in Otley Street on March 4.

The aims of the event will be to find out how people currently access community services and what makes it personal to them; to listen to main concerns after cancer treatment has ended, to hear views on who best might meet these concerns and agree what personalised support could look like.

The meeting on Monday, March 4 at Cancer Support Yorkshire, Otley Street, Skipton, will take place from 2pm to 4pm. To book a place, call the centre on 01756 228088 or email: d.hawkins@csyorkshire.org.uk.

Anyone unable to attend the event but would still like to be involved in this or any other area of Alliance work, should contact Michelle Beaumont on 01924 317560
