SHOPPERS trying to get into Boots chemist, in Skipton High Street, were faced with a firmly closed door this morning.
A company spokesman said a health and safety issue with the door meant it couldn't be opened and the store was unable to open up until the fault was fixed at 1.30pm.
Staff placed a note on the shop front, citing 'unforeseen circumstances', and stating the store may be closed for 'a few hours'.
They directed people to its branch at the Fisher Medical Centre, off Coach Street, or to other pharmacists in town.
