ANYONE who enjoys singing is being encouraged to join a new community choir being launched in Skipton.

The All Together Now group sang for the first time at the switching on of the Christmas lights last year and now, following the successful setting up of other All Together Now groups in Baildon, Bingley and in Harrogate, a branch is being launched in Skipton.

The group will come together on Thursday mornings at Skipton Baptist Church hall and will meet for the first time on February 28.

Since starting in 2015 All Together Now has grown to more than 200 members and, through performances has raised more than £30,000 for local charities.

A spokesman said: “The All Together Now aim is simple - to bring the community together and to enjoy singing as part of a friendly, relaxed and non-judgemental group. We sing popular well-known hits going back as far as the 1950s, but with plenty of more modern day favourites too. Most songs are instantly recognisable and easy to join in with - no need for singing experience.”

The first session will take place on Thursday, February 28 from 10am to 11.30am at Skipton Baptist Church hall, Rectory Lane. First taster session is free, with future sessions £5. To find out more, email: admin@atnsing.co.uk or find us on Facebook @atnsing
