A FUNDRAISING ball held at Tosside Community Hall has raised more than £2,000 for the Ribblesdale Federation of primary schools.

The event took place on Friday, February 8, with 115 guests made up mostly of parents and teachers of the federation comprising local primary schools in Hellifield, Long Preston and Giggleswick.

Hellifield band ‘The Time bandits” provided the live music and disco, and a three-course meal was provided by Lucy Knowles from Home Barn Foods, in Settle.

Funds were raised through ticket sales, games throughout the evening and an auction with prizes donated by local businesses including the Harts Head, the Black Horse, Drake and Macefield butchers, Coniston Hotel, Chic Hair Studio and The Courtyard Dairy.

The funding raised will be spent on sportswear and classroom equipment for all three schools.
