A 32ND annual coffee morning in Cracoe, raised a record breaking £1,119 for Cancer Support Yorkshire.

Organised by the Cracoe Annual Friends and held in the village hall, villagers came out in force to support the event, which also included a tombola, book stall and raffle.

Jill and Trish from the friends group, said: “We were absolutely amazed at the support our community showed in attending our annual coffee morning . Coffee mornings have been held by the annual friends now for 32 years and the support for them is amazing.

“Cancer Support Yorkshire is close to everyone’s heart due to it being a local small independent charity supporting our community that’s been affected by cancer.”

The charity’s Helen Gatiss, said: “ We feel privileged that they chose us. Villagers came from all over the dale and we cannot thank them enough for their kind donation. Over £1,119 is just amazing and will make a huge difference to our charity. We are a small independent charity so donations like this help to secure our future.”
