THE MAYOR of Ilkley officially opened a new ‘performance furniture’ business in town.
Councillor Stephen Butler declared Designed For’s new showroom, on Church Street, open.
The company’s owner, Lee Teal, believes it will provide a unique service for Ilkley.
He said: “We offer performance furniture that delivers on function as well as impeccable design.
“We are passionate about furniture that helps integrate today’s technologies and ergonomic requirements into modern living, whether it’s a desk that allows you sit and stand or a television cabinet that seamlessly hides audio equipment and speakers."
Helen Rhodes, of Ilkley BID, said: “I am delighted Lee has chosen Ilkley as the venue for his new retail space for Designed For. The product range looks really exciting.”
The business is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, and by appointment on Sundays.
