THE life and work of composer JS Bach is being presented at Airton Friends' Meeting House through a special narrative with musical interludes.

The presentation is by Wilf Fenton, of Selside, who is drawing on his travels through East Germany in the footsteps of the composer.

The event will include keyboard works performed by Simon Watkins, cello music played by Christine Dittman and chorals sung by singers Joan Horsfield, Jenny Robinson, Chris Skidmore and Simon Watkins.

The Many Faces of JS Bach is being held on Sunday, March 31, at 7pm.

It is one of many cultural events of music and theatre which has been held each month at Airton Meeting House for almost a year.

Admission is free, with donations accepted in aid of the Farfield Meeting House restoration appeal.
