AFTER last week’s picture of Skipton Young Farmers giving their all in a pantomime taking place in the late 1950s, the focus this week is on the same group, with the action moved on a couple of years.
Again the picture has been provided by Eileen Addyman, of Hagg Farm, Embsay, who recalls that this panto was called ‘Albert Laddin’ - oh yes it was! - and was presented by the youngsters, probably in 1961 or 1962, at Millfields Hall, Skipton.
Eileen also recalls the names of her fellow participants - in costumes noticeably more elaborate and exotic than those in the pantomine featured last week: back row, Douglas Elsworth; middle row, from left, Margaret Lawn (nee Beckwith), Clifford Lawson, Michael Holgate, Andrew Marsden, Joan Nelson (nee Southwell); front row, Eileen Addyman, Nancy Palmer, Anne Heseltine, Rosamond Lawson (nee Beckwith).
