CHILDREN at Cononley Primary School celebrated World Book Day with a visit from storyteller and author Sita Brand.
She performed The Dragon’s Pearl, her retelling of a Chinese folk tale, and taught the pupils some mindfulness techniques and Chinese brush painting.
School head Catherine Pickles said: "The children were spellbound by Sita's storytelling and enjoyed using the Chinese bell to help them meditate and focus."
Sita is a leading light of Settle Stories, a group based in the Yorkshire Dales whose mission is to change the world through story.
The group collaborates with communities and artists to create transformative experiences that ignite curiosity and reimagine storytelling.
