SETTLE Stories will be marking international World Storytelling Day on Saturday (March 23) with its first ever live streamed event.

People can either go along to the charity’s venue, or stay at home, and share in the storytelling from the comfort of their own living rooms by logging on to the charity’s website.

The arts charity will be bringing seven storytellers from across the globe to its venue - The Joinery, behind Ye Olde Naked Man cafe.

The storytellers, including from Antarctica, and South America, will share tales of their cultures in thje evening which will be hosted by award winning storyteller Chris Bostock.

Chris will also share his own stories from Europe.

There will be traditional North American stories live streamed from Laura Sims, music and tales from Asia and a few nail-biters from Ingrid Nixon in Antarctica, as well as music from South America and

fantasy tales from Tanya Batt in Australasia,

The evening is a great chance for people of all ages to come together and enjoy the best of storytelling from around the world.”

Settle Stories works year round to bring high quality and international artists to its rural arts venue. With its new digital equipment, the event will be the first of many in which it can link up with artists and communities from all over the world
