HI-TECH traffic sensors are being installed on the Aire Valley Road between the Kildwick and Steeton/Silsden roundabouts.
The Department for Transport plans to close the busy A629 overnight on Monday from 10pm until the following morning at 5am to install the sensors, which will collect traffic data.
The Department intends to use the information gathered by the sensors to inform policy and funding decisions, which it hopes will improve roads and provide better journeys for road users.
