AS part of World Parkinson's Day there will be information stands at Booths supermarket, Settle; and at Cross Hills Co-op.

It is believed one in 37 people will be diagnosed with Parkinson's in their lifetime.

People can suffer muscle stiffness, slowness of movement, tiredness, pain, depression, speech and swallowing difficulties.

Louise Smith, Parkinson’s UK area advisor, will be at Booths in Settle on Thursday, April 11 from 12 midday to 2pm, and at Cross Hills Co-op on Friday, April 12 from 12 midday to 2pm.

There will also be information stands on both days from 10am to 4pm, and members of Parkinson's UK to give advice.
