FOUR new governors have been elected to Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Nicky Green will represent Keighley, David Pearson Craven and Surji Cair Shipley. Elected to the Rest of England constituency was Safeen Rehman.

Following an induction, they will take-up their posts on May 1.

Paul Hogg, the trust’s director of corporate affairs, welcomes them.

He added: “We’d like to thank everyone who showed an interest in becoming a governor and everybody who voted.

“The council of governors has a crucial role in connecting with our communities, as it represents the views of local people and gives them a voice, providing us with a vital link to those we serve.

“I’d like to congratulate the successful candidates – they all possess valuable experience and knowledge that will be useful to the trust. The board and senior leadership team look forward to working closely with them.”
