SETTLE College student Lucy Depledge is celebrating being accepted into the prestigious Norland College in Bath.
Founded in 1892 it has a worldwide reputation and is considered to be the best of the best in childcare, producing nannies for the royal family and many celebrities.
Lucy 17, who is currently studying History, Geography and Psychology A levels at Settle College impressed Norland with her determination and passion for working with children.
A college spokesman said: “Lucy has done well to be offered a place as they only accept around 100 of the many applicants that apply each year. “
Norland nannies have to have a minimum of three A levels, or equivalent. The uniform remains a strong part of the Norland tradition - in the same way that a professional nurse would be expected to wear a uniform, Norland students are expected to wear their uniform with pride and to adhere to strict uniform guidelines.
