BRADFORD City captain Lee Duxbury, pictured right, had turned up as a paying spectator for the 1989 Craven FA under 17 Cup Final at Gargrave - but was called upon to present the trophy after the invited West Riding FA representative failed to arrive. So remembers Skipton’s ‘Mr Sport’ Roger Ingham, then manager of Skipton LMS, who has provided the photo. Receiving the cup is LMS captain Matthew Ingham, and other LMS players in the picture are Zafir Iqbal and Richard Calvert, says Roger. Keighley-born, in 1969, Lee Duxbury was captain of City, then in the second tier of English football, well before the age of 20 and went on play over 600 times for various clubs during his career. Roger also recalls that the LMS scorer that day was Stuart Mason, whose father Roy Mason had sadly perished in the Bradford City fire in 1985.
