THE children of St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Barnoldswick were paid a return visit by Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson.
The school council and other children recently travelled down to London on a residential, and while they were there paid a visit to Parliament.
Mr Stephenson was in a private meeting at the time, and was not able to see the children at the time, so arranged to go to the school later.
For his recent visit, the children were dressed in onesies and pyjamas to raise money for the Friends of St Josephs.
Headteacher, Natalie Wood, said: “The children asked some excellent questions on a variety of subjects from Brexit to recycling and global waste. Mr Stephenson spoke about his role as an MP and explained the process of elections. The children listened very well to his answers and explanations and learned a great deal. His visit was very informative and we were extremely grateful that he took the time to visit us at such a busy time.”
