PERMISSION to demolish a builder’s storage shed and change the use of a building materials storage yard to make way for a five-bed house has been granted.
Craven District Council’s planning committee has allowed development of the site adjacent to Dove Cote Gardens, Kildwick Grange.
The application had been brought to committee by ward councillor Andy Brown who was concerned about ‘ribbon development’ and its siting near the Grade II listed Grange Hall.
The parish council had requested the developer not use blue slates for the roofs and Cllr Ward suggested stone or artificial stone instead which the developer was happy to use.
The house would provide accommodation over three floors including within the roof space.
The plans included external works.
