A PLANNING appeal has been lodged against the refusal of a retail and residential development at Craven Court, Skipton.
Plans for the ground floor retail space with four flats above, off Otley Street, were thrown out in November last year after members unanimously voted against them.
The officers had recommended approval despite more than 200 objections being received.
Now the applicant, Vale Real Estate, has appealed against the decision to the planning inspector and it will be determined through written representations.
In January, London-based agents Fawcett Mead announced Craven Court Shopping Centre has been put on the market with a price tag in excess of £6,665,000.
The shopping centre celebrated its 30th anniversary in July last year.
